Tim has spent 13 years in vocational ministry — five of those on staff with Cru and eight as an executive pastor. During his time, he has spent a lot of time developing systems to help ministries run. Since his time in pastoral ministry, he has served as an Executive Pastor. He is coming to E-Free from a Presbyterian Church in Normal, IL.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Michigan State University, a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando.
Tim grew up in a small town in Southeast Michigan. He met Kim while working at a Taco Bell together and they’ve being doing everything together ever since. Building furniture and home improvement projects has become a pretty major part of his life
the last 10 years. He loves movies and connecting themes to real life. Tim loves strategy and when he gets a chance loves playing board games with friends. He loves to teach and so is always learning.
Tim and Kim are high school sweethearts and have been married for 22 years. They have three children: Xander is nine years old and in 4th Grade and will gladly tell you how much he loves the electric guitar and rock music, Zack is seven and loving 2nd Grade, and Penny is four and getting used to school in her preschool. Most of the week, Kim is a rock-star mom, but also does counseling within the community. We love doing all sorts of things as a family, but the favorite things are usually beating up dad or crafts with mom. We love family hikes, camping, and time with friends.
