Board of Elders

The Board of Elders is primarily responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church and are recognized by the congregation to act in this capacity. These men serve as the elders for E-Free Church.

Tobin Stewart has been active at E-Free Church with his wife Kirsten since 2013. Originally from Billings, Tobin and his family returned to Montana for his position in the MSU School of Music leading the Symphony Orchestra and teaching courses, primarily in music education. Tobin serves alongside Kirsten on the worship team, teaches middle school Sunday Class, and enjoys discipling college students. Tobin loves to enjoy God’s beautiful MT creation by skiing, hiking, and biking with Kirsten and his kids, Elijah, Samuel, and Lydiana.

John Graves has been an elder at EFCB since 2015 and has been attending E-Free for nearly 35 years, serving in numerous roles. He is currently the Team Leader for the E-Free Staff. He is passionate about personal growth and is currently discipling/mentoring a number of men. John works at Montana StateUniversity in a master’s degree program for science educators. He and his wife Susanna have 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren. John loves living in the Bozeman area and can be found in the backcountry skiing, hiking, or biking…often with his grandson or other guys from church.

Jim Loessberg has a Financial Planning Firm located in Bozeman and carries that work into his ministry at E-Free as a member of the Finance Team and board member of Selah ministries. His hope and prayer is to see people in good and bad times see real and continued transformation in Christ and then to see it passed on and on and on…. He is a little nuts about anything outdoors (except golf) and enjoys diving, riding his horses, hunting, fishing, camping, and hanging out by the fire pit with friends. Jim is married to his Minnesota-turned-Montana bride, Irene.

Len Ramsey has been a member of E Free since 1984, when he moved to Bozeman to begin practicing medicine. He and his wife of 44 years, Cindy, raised their three children here and now have four grandchildren in the area as well. Len and Cindy spent about 9 of their years together in Kenya and Tanzania, East Africa; while there, he was practicing missionary medicine and she was homeschooling their kids. Len and Cindy teamed with Sam and Cindy Nelson to oversee the E-Free youth group many years ago. Hoping to be a “newcomer” to the Board of Elders, Len anticipates applying interpersonal and leadership skills learned in his years of medical experience to his role on the Board. He enjoys the Christian World View, fast cars, and the outdoor amenities that only Bozeman can offer.

Jeremy Sayre and his wife Katie started attending E-Free Church shortly after moving to Bozeman in 2008.  He then opened his orthodontic practice in 2009.  Jeremy has worked with Cru and worked in campus ministry in Siberia.  Jeremy and Katie have been married almost 16 years and have 5 children.  Throughout their marriage they have enjoyed working in various ministries in the churches and communities they’ve been involved in including discipleship, missions, and Children’s Ministries.  Jeremy loves the outdoors, including hiking, hunting, and anything to do with animals.

Dan Miller is the Discipleship Pastor and an Elder.  His life has been significantly impacted by a number of men who have invested themselves in his life over the years. Because of these experiences, Dan is passionate about helping others become biblical disciple makers. He has been married to his best friend Cora for over 30 years and they have two adult children who are married. Dan enjoys a variety of outdoor adventures: hiking, camping, backpacking, skiing, fly-fishing, hunting, and competitive shooting.
