The Board of Elders is primarily responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church and are recognized by the congregation to act in this capacity. These men serve as the elders for E-Free Church, in alphabetical order by last name:
John Graves has been an elder at EFCB since 2015 and has been attending E-Free for nearly 35 years, serving in numerous roles. He is currently the Team Leader for the E-Free Staff. He is passionate about personal growth and is currently discipling/mentoring a number of men. John works at Montana StateUniversity in a master’s degree program for science educators. He and his wife Susanna have 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren. John loves living in the Bozeman area and can be found in the backcountry skiing, hiking, biking…often with his grandson or other guys from church.
Jim Keena is the Lead Teaching Pastor, primarily responsible for the areas of pastoral ministry, biblical teaching and providing directional leadership for the church. His greatest joy is communicating God’s Word to God’s people and seeing the gospel transform people. He enjoys dates with his wife Kim, hiking in Montana’s mountains, photography and cheering for the MSU Bobcats and the St. Louis Cardinals. Jim and Kim have been married for over 35 years and they have seven children and eight grandchildren.
Jim Loessberg has a Financial Planning Firm located in Bozeman and carries that work into his ministry at E free as a member of the Finance Team and board member of Selah ministries. His hope and prayer is to see people in good and bad times see real and continued transformation in Christ and then to see it passed on and on and on…. He is a little nuts about anything outdoors (except golf) and enjoys diving, riding his horses, hunting, fishing, camping and hanging out by the fire pit with friends. Jim is married to his Minnesota-turned-Montana bride, Irene.
Brian Priebe has been an elder at EFCB since June of 2012. He is passionate about discipleship and is actively in discipling a dozen or so individuals. Brian works (remotely) for Synergy Sports Technology, LLC. Prior to working at Synergy, Brian was a collegiate men’s basketball coach for 18 seasons at Montana State University, Loyola Marymount University, Eastern Washington University and the University of Washington. He, and his wife, Kristen have four children: Anna, Maya, Sara and John. Brian loves golf, fantasy football and moonlights as the radio color commentator on MSU men’s basketball broadcasts.
Len Ramsey has been a member of E Free since 1984
when he moved to Bozeman to begin practicing
medicine. He and his wife of 44 years, Cindy, raised
their three children here and now have four
grandchildren in the area as well. Len and Cindy spent
about 9 of those years in Kenya and Tanzania, East
Africa; he practicing missionary medicine and she
home schooling the kids. Len and Cindy teamed with
Sam and Cindy Nelson to oversee the E Free youth
group many years ago. Hoping to be a “newcomer” to
the Board of Elders, Len anticipates applying those
interpersonal and leadership skills learned in the years
of medicine to his role on the Board. He enjoys being
Cindy’s husband, the Christian World View, fast cars,
and the outdoor amenities that only Bozeman can offer.
Jeremy Sayre and his wife Katie started attending E-Free Church shortly after moving to Bozeman in 2008. He then opened his orthodontic practice in 2009. Jeremy has worked with Cru and worked in campus ministry in Siberia. Jeremy and Katie have been married almost 16 years and have 5 children. Throughout their marriage they have enjoyed working in various ministries in the churches and communities they’ve been involved in including discipleship, missions and Children’s Ministries. Jeremy loves the outdoors including hiking, hunting and anything to do with animals.
Tobin Stewart has been active at E-Free Church with
his wife Kirsten since 2013. Originally from Billings,
Tobin and his family returned to Montana for his
position in the MSU School of Music leading the
Symphony Orchestra and teaching courses primarily in
music education. Tobin serves alongside Kirsten on the
worship team, teaches middle school Sunday School
and enjoys discipling college students. Tobin loves to
