Jim Keena is the Lead Teaching Pastor. Jim and his wife Kim have been married for over 35 years. They have seven children and eight grandchildren. Jim’s responsibilities are primarily in the areas of pastoral ministry, biblical teaching and providing directional leadership for the church. His greatest joy is communicating God’s Word to God’s people and seeing the gospel transform people. He enjoys dates with Kim, hiking in Montana’s mountains, photography and cheering for the MSU Bobcats and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Brett LaShelle is the Lead Care Pastor. Pastor Brett came to faith in Christ at age 17 and was highly involved in the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ at Boise State University. After finishing his Masters of Biblical Studies and Ministry in 1988, he came to Bozeman as the Evangelical Free Church’s first full-time Youth and Family pastor. Brett is now the associate pastor over Pastoral Care working with a number of different ministries. Brett and Roberta are grandparents with four beautiful adult daughters and two magnificent sons-in-law. Brett is a lover of God and His people, and finds no greater joy than watching the two come together.
Dan Miller is the Discipleship Pastor. His life has been significantly impacted by a number of men who have invested themselves in his life over the years. Because of these experiences, Dan is passionate about help others become biblical disciple makers. He has been married to his best friend Cora for 30 years and they have two adult children who are married. Dan enjoys a variety of outdoor adventures: hiking, camping, backpacking, skiing, fly-fishing, hunting, and competitive shooting.
Kirsten Stewart is the Worship Director. She leads a team of musicians passionate about worship through music, prayer and scripture. Kirsten’s passions include mentoring the next generation of worship leaders through internships both in-house at E-Free and through Montana State University, as well as discipling young people in their walk with the Lord. Kirsten and her husband, Tobin, have 3 kids, Elijah, Samuel, and Lydiana and love any opportunity to be outdoors hiking, mountain biking, or skiing.
Paul Elias is the Assistant Worship Director. Originally from Billings, MT, Paul now lives in Bozeman after finishing school at MSU. Paul is responsible for the musical development of our church worship teams as well as leadership for the evening service. His desire for our church is that every person that comes through our doors would be able to experience true, gospel-inspired worship. He loves music, sports, and the outdoors.
Aaron Canen is the Worship Technology Director. Aaron married to his wife Mara in the Glendive church he grew up in where his father served as pastor. He and Mara studied at Montana State University where Aaron received his Bachelor’s degree majoring in Music Technology; a degree he uses in his role as Worship Technology Director. Aaron has a passion to see modern technology used in the church in a practical and effective way. He also works at the Belgrade Community Library as Technology Administrator.
Kyle Blackmore is the Youth Ministries Director. Kyle has been married to his lovely wife Winter since 2007. He has three wonderful children Kaleb, Kasey and Kaiya. At E-Free he enjoys keeping up the technology and directing Youth Ministries. His passion in ministry is to see students grow in Jesus and impact the world for Him. During his downtime he loves to build and collect Lego… and spend time with his family.
Kenje Fehlberg is the Children’s Ministries Director. Kenje came to E-Free with her two kids, Keanon and Kelcey and jumped right in as a Children’s teacher. In 2006 the Lord blessed and challenged her with the position of Director of Children’s Ministries. Kenje strives to target the hearts of children, through loving relationships, for real transformation in Christ. When not at work she can be found taking her camper on the road, along with a dog or two, hanging out with her own kids, or skiing the slopes of Bridger Bowl.
Sarah Jakkola is the Executive Director of Selah Early Learning Academy. Sarah is a graduate of UM-Western in Social Science, and attended grad school at MSU for Marriage/Family therapy. Sarah has been a part of Children’s Ministry at E-Free off-and-on since 2005. She’s the mom of two teenagers, Christian and Caylah. She considers her job as the Director of Selah Early Learning Academy to be the best job in the entire world – ministering to the hearts of children and families of the Gallatin Valley.
Pam Marsh is the Office Team Leader. She brings over 25 years of office experience working for several high tech companies in Denver and the State of Wyoming in Cheyenne. She was raised in Colorado but recently moved from Cheyenne to the Bozeman area. Having only lived in Montana a short time, she likes to spend her time away from the office exploring the surrounding area. It has been her desire since she was very young to be able to serve in a church office. She loves the people of E-Free and is enjoying getting to know the many volunteers who work behind the scenes.
Kalli Hendrickson is the Receptionist / Graphic Artist. She was born in Montana, and graduated from MSU- Bozeman with two degrees in Fine Art and Art Education. Recently she just moved back from working in missions with Youth With a Mission in Australia. Kalli’s passions involve creativity and championing young people to be developed into their God given identity and potential. In her down time, she is a teacher and runs art workshops in the community. Rest looks like a good book and discovering new craft coffee spots, being a trained barista herself. She enjoys practicing the art of hospitality, and helping people feel like they have a place in community.
John Graves is the Staff Leader and he also serves as an elder. John is passionate about personal growth and is currently discipling/mentoring a number of men. John works at Montana State University in a master’s degree program for science educators, teaching online. He and his wife Susanna have five adult children and eight grandchildren. John loves living in the Bozeman area and can be found in the back country skiing, hiking, biking…often with his grandson or other guys from church.
