Ideas for Using Your Gifts to Support the Children’s Ministry:
Outside of the Classroom Activities
Prayer Team -- Commit to pray: for a child and their family or for a teacher and her/his family
Nursery Care Team -- Welcome parents with newborns by sending cards & info. packets, blankets or quilts, small Bibles; Monthly deep cleaning/maintenance and sorting of toys etc.
Children’s Church Care Team -- Decorate room & bulletin boards, mail birthday cards to students, help plan special events, support teachers
Parent Support Team -- Determine and organize parenting classes, seminars, support groups, special family activities
Volunteer Appreciation & Training -- Help plan and host volunteer appreciation and training activities, gifts, mail birthday cards
Visitor Gift Bags -- Stuff gift bags with candy, small toys, stickers, children’s program information, special event flyers
Bulletin Boards -- Monthly themes, special events, highlight classrooms
Video/DVD/photo Scrapbooks -- take photos/video in classrooms, nursery during events and post on website and/or make a DVD scrapbook
Prepare Curriculum at Beginning of New Term -- make photocopies, organize supply lists, mail teachers information
Assist Within the Classrooms (Non-Teaching Positions):

Special Needs Pardner - Assist child to get the most out of their classroom experience each week

Snack and Craft Assistant - Extra Hands during these busy activities in the classroom

Music with Preschool Children’s Church - During the 8:30 service

Take Attendance - Greet students, take attendance, and help visitors with name tags

Clean Up After Class - Stack chairs/wipe off counters/vacuum floors
