AWANA – Monday After-school Program for ages 18 mos. through 12th grade
“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” II Timothy 2:15
What is AWANA?
Monday afternoons your child can join us for Bible verses, games, friendships and fun. The goal of Awana is to “reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him”.
Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry with fully integrated evangelism and long-term discipleship programs for ages 2 to 18 that actively involve parents and church leaders. Each week, more than 4 million children and youth, 470,000 volunteers and 260 field staff take part in Awana in over 47,000 churches around the world. Offered through local churches, Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey.
Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ, His only Son. Kids see how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world. This is the end result, but the method is FUN!
Awards are earned for verse sections learned throughout the year. All Clubbers will be recognized for their efforts and Clubbers who complete their handbook earn a Book Award at the year-end Ceremony. Clubbers who complete all the T&T books along with all the Gold and Silver reviews are eligible for a local scholarship.
